Incentives send powerful signals that aim to influence behavior. Too often, however, there is a discrepancy between what we say and what we do in response to incentives.

The event

Incentives send powerful signals that aim to influence behavior. Too often, however, there is a discrepancy between what we say and what we do in response to incentives.

The result: Mixed Signals.

On Tuesday 13 June 2023 you can attend an exclusive and inspiring event with international thought leader on behavioral economics, Uri Gneezy, following the recent publication of his book Mixed Signals – How Incentives Really Work (Yale University Press).

On 13 June Uri Gneezy will host a key-note presentation on Copenhagen Business School (CBS). Following this, you will join Uri and a selected group of executives for an informal roundtable discussion at CBS Executive’s terrace (if the weather permits it – otherwise inside) at CBS Campus.

About the book

Incentives send powerful signals that aim to influence behavior. But often there is a conflict between what we say and what we do in response to these incentives. The result: mixed signals.

Drawing on behavioral economics, game theory, psychology, and fieldwork, Uri Gneezy outlines how to be incentive smart, designing rewards that are simple and effective. He highlights how the right combination of economic and psychological incentives can encourage people to drive more fuel-efficient cars, be more innovative at work, and even get to the gym. “Incentives send a signal,” Gneezy writes, “and your objective is to make sure this signal is aligned with your goals.”
