The programme is conducted in collaboration with Imperial College Business School, UK and IESE Business School, Spain
For any manager in the health sector there is no doubt that innovation is key to the future sustainability of his or her organisation. Managers already face many challenges – changes in demographics, the explosion of new technology in the med tech, life sciences and digital sectors, the need to care for populations that enjoy longer lives but increasingly experience long term chronic diseases, the need for organisational and process innovations to improve quality and safety but also maintain affordability.
The focus of the AMP-HI is to prepare leaders in the healthcare sector for the future and equip them with the knowledge they need to lead the changes in the existing systems and the development of new services and solutions.
The three modules have been organised broadly around key stages in an innovation journey, from understanding the problems and challenges through ideation of solutions to implementation.
In London: Understanding health challenges and how to deal with them through innovation. Imperial College Business School. We will explore the healthcare challenges of developed countries, the responses that are being introduced, their implications, how health systems innovate, and the roles played by the different agents in the system.
In Copenhagen: Ideating new solutions through innovation. How do we incorporate new thinking, and how does this play out from different perspectives (policy, provider, finance, industry supply chain). We will explore the possibilities created by digitalisation, social data analytics, partnerships etc. We will deal with assessment of innovation and the measurement of performance.
In Barcelona: Getting things done, implementing different types of innovations in practice. IESE Business School. We will discuss how highly complex systems and organisations can be managed to facilitate the deployment of innovation, and how organisations bridge the gap from strategic ideas into successful implementation.
